Formeln und Variablen in einem philosophischen Essay? Das passt! Vom 4.-7. März fand an der Universität Basel das Finale der Schweizer Philosophie-Olympiade statt.Gold geht an zwei junge Talente, die bereits bei der Mathematik-Olympiade Erfolg hatten.

On Saturday, January 24, several young volunteers accompanied this year’s semifinalists of the Swiss Philosophy Olympiad to the Zurich Philosophy Festival. Special guests at the festival were Filipa Lüthy and Joshua Freiermuth, last year’s winners of SPO.

On January 15, 56 young philosophers attended the semifinals, which took place simultaneously in four locations.

The First Essay Round of the Swiss Philosophy Olympiad 2025/2026 took place between October 7 and November 16, 2025. Now we know who qualified for the semifinals!

The preliminary round of the Philosophy Olympiad 2025/2026 ended last weekend. Once again, the number of participants exceeded the one of last year. In total 1169 students participated!

In the fifth and final installment of our journey through the Science Olympiad year, we follow two volunteers and their delegations to the international competitions in philosophy and mathematics. We take a night train to Italy with Lara while Tanish takes us on a trip down under.
